•As a child, I did not like gathering eggs on the farm because the hens were mean.
• I played the Doris Day part in “Pillow Talk” in a high school play.
• I played defensive line woman on my girl’s football team in high school - real football, not powder puff.
• I ate dinner at a restaurant next to Vice President Bush’s table in Fort Smith, Arkansas surrounded by secret service agents.
• I played the French horn and the cymbals in my high school band – horribly.
• I was the Sports Editor of my high school paper.
• When I moved to California, I lived in Malibu. I now live near Skid Row.
• I did not finish kindergarten.

Monopoly Board Collage on CNN Blog

I am loving all of this CNN coverage, even if it is one small photo on the top row, second from the left (Mr. Monopoly through the Indiana Ave. window). CNN posted this on their blog.

This probably is as close to CNN as I ever will get unless I am held captive by a gunman in a three day stand-off in downtown Los Angeles (and I survive to tell about it.)

My Monopoly House on CNNiReport

I am on CNN iReport: A few days ago a CNN producer contacted me about my Mr. Monopoly House photos on Flickr. They are/were doing a story about Monopoly's 75th birthday. She asked me to upload the photos to CNNiReport and they would be considered for television use. This is the photo that got turned sideways

Hallmark Nostalgic Christmas Houses

I can't believe I have everyone of these. I am not a huge fan of Hallmark ornaments, but I love houses. I bought my first in 1984 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I missed a couple of years but thanks to eBay, I was able to acquire them later. Most of them are still MIB (Mint In Box). And some of them are worth in the hundreds of dollars which of course is not what I paid.

Now the pathetic part: I have never done anything with them. I buy one and put it in the big box with the rest of the houses until the next year when I add another house.

So I am thinking that I might make a Christmas village this year. There is a problem (or two) - mainly my cats. They are well behaved, but how could they resist taking a stroll through a village with cat sized toys?

I Love Postcrossing

Just what I need! Another obsession! I love Postcrossing even though I have only received one postcard (Carron from Toronto, Canada). I have mailed nine cards and four of them have been received (Netherlands, Spain, Portugal and Canada). Above is one of the cards I sent. It is fun to go on the site and read the Spotlights. They actually show photos of their mailboxes!
