Creature In The Cracks

Creature in the cracks My last post mentioned Carla Sonheim's newly released book, Drawing Lab.  I completed one of the exercises today.  Using my iphone camera, I took a picture of some "cracks" in the pavement close to my home.  From the photo, I traced the outline of my little creature and then added some features.  Since I didn't have time to hand color  him, I scanned him and added digital scrapbook paper.

To think this little guy came from some random cracks in the pavement.  Below shows you the steps I went through to get him.

Penny! I absolutely love your artwork! How inspiring it is! I really like how you show the steps from the beginning to the finished product. You are a very talented artist! Do you sell any of your work? It was great to visit with you at the reunion.
