•As a child, I did not like gathering eggs on the farm because the hens were mean.
• I played the Doris Day part in “Pillow Talk” in a high school play.
• I played defensive line woman on my girl’s football team in high school - real football, not powder puff.
• I ate dinner at a restaurant next to Vice President Bush’s table in Fort Smith, Arkansas surrounded by secret service agents.
• I played the French horn and the cymbals in my high school band – horribly.
• I was the Sports Editor of my high school paper.
• When I moved to California, I lived in Malibu. I now live near Skid Row.

Tangle Tiles

Friend Kim and I collaborated on the above zentangle tiles. She tangled five and I did four. She graciously is letting me keep this one. We are going to do one more that she will get to keep. My tiles are the three left ones and the bottom right one. Kim's work is much more intricate and done with a number one micron pen whereas I used a number two. I am going to switch to a number one because I like it much better. She also did some pencil shading which may not show up well on the scan. It makes the designs pop out.

For those of you who do not know about the tiles, you can order them from the Zentangle web site. They come with a pre-drawn string line that you fill in.

Hi Penny,
Kim, told me to check out the zen-collaboration! WOW, it looks really great! She asked me to join, maybe once I get the journal back out into circulation, than I will try the tiles. Hope all is well
