•As a child, I did not like gathering eggs on the farm because the hens were mean.
• I played the Doris Day part in “Pillow Talk” in a high school play.
• I played defensive line woman on my girl’s football team in high school - real football, not powder puff.
• I ate dinner at a restaurant next to Vice President Bush’s table in Fort Smith, Arkansas surrounded by secret service agents.
• I played the French horn and the cymbals in my high school band – horribly.
• I was the Sports Editor of my high school paper.
• When I moved to California, I lived in Malibu. I now live near Skid Row.
• I did not finish kindergarten.

Leather_couch I have new furniture! I drove down to La Mirada to Living Spaces in hopes of finding a brown leather couch and chair. They do a lot of advertising on TV, and I liked their same day delivery service. I was pleasantly surprised by their selection even though it was more traditional than contemporary. I took my time looking and finally selected a Dolce sofa and armchair. The furniture was delivered before 7 pm. (I bought it at 2 pm.) Unfortunately, I did not realize until the delivery men left that they had brought me the wrong couch. I will call them in the morning and request a switch.

I am so happy to replace the forest green couch and chair that I bought in 1991. When I return from my trip to Kansas, I will call Goodwill to pick-up them up. I am keeping my eye on the cats to make sure they do not think the new things in the living area are scratching posts. So far, they have left them alone.
