Work kept me too busy last week. I was up at 4 am every morning and at a different location every day by 5 am. The Foundation is raising money to buy toys for children in Mexico, Central America and Indonesia. We ended with a party on Saturday night in Huntington Park. I am tired!
When we were in Anaheim on Thursday, I went to the City of Orange after we were done to check out fabulous Old Towne Orange. The area has old-time charm with oodles of antique stores and gift shops. I fell in love with the place and will return often. After shopping for a few hours, I found of all things, a Starbucks in the Wells Fargo Bank. Both were in a wonderful old building with high ceiling. There was a line to make a deposit and a line to order a latte. The bank lobby was Starbucks' seating area. It all made me chuckle. And I know it is now officially Christmas when I picked up my latte with a green sleeve.
I am starting to make Christmas Creatures. Mabel loves to help me sew. She is well behaved and seldom gets in the way. Her thing is to get as close to the machine as she can. She will sit there for hours watching me. Her one naughty thing is to take the pins out of the pin cushion one at a time and drop them. I try to never leave the cushion out when I am not around.
